My desktop was ordered with a back leveled XP pro and has a Vista Home Edition label on it. Is there a no-charge upgrade to Windows 7 Home Edition? Because it was back leveled to XP, I understood that the upgrade to Win7 Home was a no-charge upgrade. I did this but keep getting message that I have a counterfeited OS. Is there a solution other than purchasing Windows 7?

How did you obtain this copy of Windows 7? And what type is it: retail, oem, or upgrade? If upgrade and you installed it over the XP, you will need to do a second install for the upgrade key to work.
