i bought a new PC and have an

AMD A10-7850k
A55BM-A/3.0
Kingston HyperX black 4gb DDR3 2133MHZ x 2 = 8GB
1TB WD Blue HDD 72000 RPM
500gb WD Caviar 5000 RPM
Thermaltake Chaser A31

now i have tried to install 3 different Windows 8 and 8.1 OS the windows 8 64 i have paid for before and i can confirm it works....i goto install and it gets to the install screen when it just freezes. i tried an illegal copy of windows 8 and it does almost the same error and freezes at the loading screen.

i have tried a new optical drive and still no effect also i tried using windows 7 64 bit and it just wont install ( my dad has payed for this copy)

try by excluding all that might be wrong... right now, try to reconnect the sata cable, use another sata cable, use the sata cable on a different sata port...

try to use a different sata power cable

do you see drives in the bios?

Yeah i see all drives in BIOS and can change the boot order etc,

tried different sata ports.

just curious could a new motherboard over speed and perform the optical drive?
