Hi, so to start off, a friend of mine had given me a pc to mess with, so I can start learning about pc's. Anyway, this pc has a pre -installed Windows 8, but he did not give me the hard drive that contains the operating system. I have a old hdd that has windows vista, and I have read other websites that with pre installments, the operating system pre installed is the only way to use the computer, and my thoughts are, I will not be able to use this pc. Is there anyway that I can use the pc with my own hdd with a different version of windows?
