WINDOWS CANT FIND DRIVERS PLEASE HELP FIRST PC BUILDd :(

i just finished building my first pc and everything worked well until i got to installing windows 8.1 OEM DVD. My HDD 2 tb seagate barracuda shows up in the BIOS but when i go to install windows 8.1 it says no drives found. PLEASE HELP this is really just pissing me off...btw i don't have access to another windows computer cause my house only has macs besides the computer i just built. PLEASE reply quickly

Have you made the dvd drive the primary boot drive when installing windows?

yes the problem occurs when i get to the infall it says no drives found and my HDD isn't there..

Have a look at that link and double check you've plugged the HDD in properly and that no other drives are connected.

Because if you go through all those steps you shouldn't have the problem. Make sure you've gone through all those steps.

In the BIOS, is the drive set to IDE? Try setting for ACHI, and see what happens.
