dunno if i placed this in the right forum but i have a hp dc7800 cmt with a back fan pushing hot air out cause my cpu fan is face the fron of the case which has no holes or anything for the hot air to escape and was wondering how i would go about keeping it cooler since only one fan is pushing the hot air out and that is the one on the back..should i take the face plate off or the side panel? i have it in a computer desk that is not open just the front is open and the back is almost covered with a board!

i think i found my problem...my cpu did not have an even layer of thermal paste on it...before i idled around the high 40's and now its in the mid to high 30's after putting new coat of thermal paste on!..did not know that was a big issue with heat!

Your cpu fan should be blowing air towards the back of the case. If it is not, then you need to remove it, flip it around, and then it will be. You always want airflow from front to back and bottom to top. Side fans are wild cards and can go either way.
