New and upcoming Graphics cards

Hello,
I am currently looking at buying either the msi/ Asus R9 290,
however is it worth to buy them now or are there any upcoming GPU's which are worth waiting for?

November, Maxwell: Highly power efficient.

If the need is extreme and urgent buy the 290 but if you can wait.... wait for nvidia 800 series lineup gpu let d benchmarks comeout then decide which gpu will suffice ur needs

November for Maxwell? I've always heard early 2015 due to the 20nm process not being ready...
