I am not able to open 'Seagate External Back up plus 1TB hard disk' on desktops

When i connect the hard drive to desktop and try to open it from my computer the the message comes as 'The disk in drive is not formatted. Do you want to format it now?', while this hard disk easily operates in Laptop. Please help

The harddisk is working in some laptops and not all, but its not working in any of the desktop. Well, what is fat32 and NTFS, i am not really aware of technical aspects, what exactly are you asking?
