Windows 7 hangs on startup after driver install.

So I recently installed the nvidia 340.43 driver which required a restart. After the restart the computer would load normally but after the windows 7 loading logo the screen just goes blank but is still on with a cursor. After a while it gets to the sign in but it takes like 15min and after I log in it just freezes at the welcome sign. However I can log in normally on safe mode with networking so I reinstalled the drivers in safe mode and the problem still persists and now it doesn't even go to the log in menu it just hangs after loading with a blank screen. Help would be appreciated thanks.

After uninstalling all nvidia drivers in safe mode I then rebooted in normal which seemed to work but it hangs at the startup menu for a long time for it to show up. After that I typed in my pw and it just stays at welcome for a long time and I could hear the start up tune.
