I have a Creative ZXR sound card which I've been using with a set of Altec Lansing ADA995 5.1 PC speakers. I've recently been offered a set of Monitor Audio V10 x 4 plus a Monitor Audio V20 center speaker. Would this be a worth while upgrade to my current set up replacing my existing satallites? Could I add a different sub to the system at a later date without having to buy an AV amp?

It would likely be an upgrade but those speakers use standard speaker wire not the 3.5mm cables that your ADA995 uses to connect speakers which would mean you would need an AV amp to even use the speakers unless you try getting or making adapter cables that may or may not work with your current system.

I was thinking of using the Monitor Audio's as an upgrade my existing satallites only & continue to use my existing sub with a view to upgrading my sub at a later date. I also have a Logitech Z5500 sub which has standard speaker wire connector's, would I be able to use the Monitor Audio satallites with the Logitec sub?

Yes you should be able to use them with the Z5500. From what I have read you should be fine on most of the specs given the speakers you are getting are 8Ohm like the ones that came with the Z-5500 series. So it is worth trying until you get an proper AV unit and sub woofer for them. But obviously they would work better when connected to a proper AV unit.
