I am building a new rig and I have bought a Asus Maximus VI Hero and have a EVGA 1,000W Gold Certified Modular PSU to run everything. The Wiring Harness that goes to the CPU part of the motherboard has me confused. Its got an extra plug on the end and I have no idea what to do with it. I plugged the others in, One was a solid piece, the other is a split 4pin plug. Can someone please tell me what to do?

Use one 8 pins wire from PSU to CPU.
Check slots names at PSU.

That looks like my PSU and I have no problems on that end. Its where it goes to the Motherboard that has me puzzled. The plugs that run TO THE MOTHERBOARD look wrong or something. The cables that run from the PSU are all 4 pin plugs and they each have 2 plugs. That leaves me with one extra and I dont know what to do with it or where it should go or anything. I took pics but I dont know how to load them on this

Cables like this?

If so - maybe you confused from 2 CPU cables.
Imo its becoz this PSU can run server mobos with dual CPUs.
Just use one CPU cable.
