Need help with a motherboard recommendation PLEASE

I am looking for a new motherboard for a new system. Probably an Intel Core i7-4820K for a CPU

I want lots of room for expansion. So a few PCIe slots, 6-8 SATA connections would be preferred, also 6-8 memory sockets with the ability to use whatever the best kind of RAM is now. Probably going to get a large case so a large MB is fine.

Please advise me on whatever else I should be looking at as far as specs.

It all really depends on your budget.

As a good socket 2011 board, I would recommend the Gigabyte GA-X79-UP4. It's a great board with 8 RAM Slots and 10 SATA Connections. Also has 3 PCI-E slots.

I would also recommend 16GB of G.Skill 2400MHz TridentX in Quad-Channel

It looks like a nice card, and I don't mind paying a premium if it is justified. So I will just ask, is it worth $300 and why?

It has been a long time since I bought a motherboard, so a little guidance would help me decide.

Also the documentation says Support for DDR3 2133/1866/1600/1333/1066 MHz memory modules so I don't think the 2400mhz memory you suggested would work
