i am trying to set up a computer for a friend who lives a distance away. I was thinking of setting up raid 1 to provide some protection in case of a hard drive failure.
Specs are:
Gigabyte G31m Es2L
E 6750 cpu
2 x 2 Gb pc6400 dual channel ram
2 x 250 seagate 250gb hard drives NEW
Crystal disk mark sequential read falls from approx 104.00 MB/s to around 45.00 MB/s.
The machine has definately slowed down performing even basic tasks of opening folders and surfing the internet.
any help most appreciated.
