Just want to ask if dual xeon x5550 can still run or perform 3ds max 2015 rendering vrat latest version?amazon price only 80$. Can someonr recommend what power supply i will use. How many watts. I will be pairing with gtx 750 ti.

The TDP is 95W, so two of them Will eat away 190W, add in the peak power consumption of the 750ti, add 33% for safe measure and that's your wattage.

I don't see why not... but the real question is why exactly do you want 2 old CPU's instead of a single new one? Already got a mobo or something?

However after all these years multi-core support is still not optimal, you will always get more performance for less faster cores instead of more slower ones.

Im on the budget. I already got xeon x5550. Since its only 80$ in the market..

My choices when im going with i4770k. It has only 4cores and 8HT.. when im on dual xeon x5550 i got 8cores and 16HT which is important to me coz im doing 3d modeling and video edting.
