Opinion on first time build

Hello!
I am a first time pc builder on a budget with these pars:
cpu:fx6300
gpu: r7 260x
psu:XFX TS550 550W
motherboard:GIGABYTE GA-970A-DS3P atx
case:Cooler Master RC-K350
ram:Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz DDR3
hard drive: caviar blue wd 500 gb
optical drive: DVD-RW Asus DRW-24F1ST SATA
So firstly are all my parts compatible and is there any site where i can check compatibility? would you suggest any other part in the same price range that is better maybe? will ym mobo and psu fit in that case and how do you know are psu units labeled in size? thanks in advance

They look like they'll work. Put them into PartPicker to help check.

You should check yourself though by looking up all the specs -

mobo say the cpu is compatible? and the ram?

Case spec says the mobo will fit? And the power supply and graphics card?

How long is the graphics card?

I can check. But you should so you know what has to go with what.

yes the mobo supports the ram and the cpu its just maybe there are some hidden traps i dont know. my gpu also fits in the case i just dont know for the psu i dont know how to check dimensions or psu size standards.
