I'd go with the Dark Knight.

the cooler master hyper 212 evo is way better than the Dark knight II beacuse the heatpipes have no gaps between and that is good it cools the cpu evenly and its cheaper.

Hi grimmjow660
I would not suggest either without knowing what your case is and weather they will fit in your case ?

My case is the Phantom 410. I was also looking at some of the Noctua ones also, Like the NH D15, but there's also the Nh D-14 too. I just don't know what would be good for the 4790k since it runs hot.

Is there something else that would be better? I don't want watercooling and I prefer budget to stay around 50-80 or even less

From what i can determine your case will support coolers up to 170mm tall so you will be fine with the coolers you suggest ,
another alternative which you may not have considered with a height of 160mm and will not interfere with your ram and is an excellent cooler
is the NZXT Havik 140mm , it compares well to the NHD14

As the other bigger Phanteks one will not fit in my case.

Totally disagree!

The CMH212EVO will not hang in there with the best of the best air coolers, anyone that's used it knows that, look at the Xiggy Dark Knights overclocked cooling performance and the air cooling company it is in, with its cooling performance tested temperatures.

http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/4730/xigmatek_dark_knight_sd1283_night_hawk_edition_cpu_cooler_review/index7.html

The Xiggys cooling performance even significantly increases with the addition of a 2nd fan in a push/pull setup, plus the 3 larger HDT heat pipe design, positions the center heat pipe directly over the CPU core alignment.

The Xigmatek Dark knight II will be fine and is the better cooler , is a shame i can't find the NZXT havik 140mm in the u.s for you , assuming that is where you are from
