So, i finally decided on a PC and monitor, they are coming in 1 week, i just want to know how good it will run some games:

Thermaltake Chaser A21

OCZ ModXStream Pro 500W

AMD FX X8 8350 4GHz 16MB AM3+

ASR 970 PRO3

Kingston HX Beast D3 2400MHz 8GB (2x4)

ST1000DM003 1TB 64MB 7200 SATA 6Gb/s

Samsung DVD RW 24x

Sapphire R9 280X VaporX TRI-X 3GB GDDR5

Kingston SSD V300 S3 120GB

Monitor: Asus VE278N (27 inch, 1920x1080, 5ms)

So at what FPS will this PC run these games:

1) CS:GO
2) Far Cry 3
3) Battlefield 4

Mostly above 40 frames for the new games(BF4, FC3, Metro etc etc) and above 80 for the older games(CS, L4D etc etc). But your monitor will only output 60 frames max.

Your pc will render out more than 60 fps in some games, but you will see the maximum of 60 fps on your monitor. Your monitor has a 60hz refresh rate.

In theory, yes, but you can feel a huge difference between 60 and 200 fps even on a 60 hz monitor.

That 'feeling' is different from person to person. I don't feel smoother gameplay between 200fps on 60hz and 60fps on 60hz and that's minimum fps not average, but you know, what you see is all you get.
