So over the last few months I have been slowly upgrading my pc. My SSD arrived the other day so now I want to buy my last bits and get my build finally finished.
Here's my components so far, (excluding what I'm replacing)
Corsair CML16GX3M2A1600C10 Vengeance Low Profile 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 Mhz
Samsung HD103SJ Spinpoint F3 1TB Hard Drive SATAII 7200rpm 32MB Cache
Antec 300 Three Hundred Case
Gigabyte GTX 770 OC 2GB GDDR5 7000MHz Dual-DVI HDMI Displayport PCI-E Graphics Card
Samsung SH-S223 22x DVD±RW DL SATA Optical Drive
3 x Corsair AF120 LED Blue Quiet Edition High Airflow 120mm Fan Twin Pack
Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5 inch Basic SATA Solid State Drive
I've been unsure of what CPU to get. i7 vs i5 but decided an i5 4670K may be better for my needs. I also want a decent motherboard to go with it which seems to be a recommended Z97 (but which one to pick And I've also read that buying a good cooler will be worthwhile doing too.
I also currently have this PSU. But I'm concerned that it may not be enough for this new build (since the fans and extra drives etc). I think I worry because it is old now. I got it back at the start of 2010. Is it reliable enough for this new build?
Antec TruePower New 650W Modular PSU
I'm hoping to order and have delivered by this weekend so if anyone can help I would be very grateful.
Cheers
Sam
