Hi friends,
i recently bought a Lenovo brand laptop with Geforce GT740M,
im having the problem in intel and nvidia graphics swicthing .
nvidia GT740M is working only in power/charging adapter is connected.
in battery, my laptop is only using HD 4600.
is this thing applicable to all laptops models/brands with discrete graphics? or laptops can use graphics card in battery mode?
i have reinstalled drivers, changed to maximum performance settings in nvidia, too i have checked bios but my laptop dosent have an option to use only to use nvidia graphics.
any one help me with this problem?

You wouldn't need the lot of them. You should be able to change the chipset preference with the 3D tab and performance tabs.

In your system tray, right click the NVIDIA icon and select 'Open NVIDIA Control Panel'
Under 3D Settings, click Manage 3D Settings
Click the Program Settings tab

1 Minimize all applications that are open until u get to your home/desktop screenn
2 right click and go into Nvidia control panel.
3 click on manage 3D settings.
4 click on the drop down menu below "Preferred graphics processor" and select the "High-Performance Nvidia Processor" option
5 click "apply" on the bottom right
