unable to install windows or Linux on samsung NP300E5X

Hello ,
I recently installed ubuntu 12.01 alongside windows 8.1 and it worked fine but I was greedy to explore the new ubuntu 14.04 LTS so installed it. While installing it asked me whether to keep the ubuntu 12.10 or erase so I chose to erase but the 14.04 erased everything including my windows ... I tried to install windows with USB and Live cd but didnt work so I decided to install LINUX mint,kali,REDHAT etc. but nothing worked.. Its not even taking me to the boot options.. I checked with my CD rom even thats working fine.. now I got stuck with ubuntu 14.04 .. guys please get me out of this hell and save me and my buddy(Lappy)

I think that when you erased the old Ubuntu the installer has erased the Windows 8 at the same time. I would make a new partion on the drive and try to install Windows again

hey thanksfor replying... youre correct it deleted my windows as well... I tried doing partioning but it says that the sectors are full

If you still want Ubuntu and Windows 8.1, follow this guide http://www.everydaylinuxuser.com/2014/05/install-ubuntu-1404-alongside-windows.html

I'd start off with booting to Windows 8.1 installer, clearing all partitions (so it's 1 big partition), and doing a clean install. Obviously, that'd mean all data is lost.

You say it won't show you the boot options. Do you mean the BIOS won't let you select the DVD drive as the boot option? Or any boot option for that matter?

When you put it that way, i think that you should erase everything from your Hard Disk (including partitions) using one of the installers (Windows or Ubuntu Install), and make 2 new partitions and call them probably Windows or Ubuntu ( or something else

)
Then while in the same installer just install and install the other OS.
I reccomend beginning with the Windows, then Ubuntu because then the the boot selector wont be deleted

P.S You probably know but, you will lose all of your data
