This problem has been happening for over a week now and I've been able to pin point it after about 3 re-installs of Windows. It seemed like a really random problem at first but now I'm sure I am closing in on the problem. Previously I've tried to download games on Steam which is located on my D: HDD and the download would just stop itself and i would have to start it up again manually. That would keep happening a couple or a few times depending on when my computer would just freeze up resulting in a hard-restart or shutdown. I would get no BSOD but when i looked in the event log just after it says the system has rebooted it had the error "Audit events have been dropped by the transport. 0". I heard somewhere there would be a simple fix of just changing around where the SATA were plugged into the MB and yes that did fix it and i was able to download a full 11gb game no problem at all. But after that the freezes kept on occurring when i was just doing random stuff on the computer. I decided to just run my PC without Steam running on it and what do you know i didn't have any freezes at all. But then i tried to play a game which isn't related to Steam (League of Legends) and this game is located on a different disk F:. Btw both disks are 1TB Hitachi drives. Once again my whole computer froze and i had to restart it by the button. After that i tried to copy the whole League of Legends folder to my SSD C: and i did that without fail and i could run the game fine. I have also run disk error checks on both the disks and found no errors on them. So what i really want to know is do i have to buy new hard drives or new SATA cables or is it a problem with my MB, idk.
