Pc shuts down while playing watch dogs.

My Pc specs are:
AMD fx8350
r9_280x
corsair CS750 M
i dont understand why this is happening.. my gpu can handle the game but it shuts down after 10~15 mins or so.

is it a problem of overheating? because the cabinet gets hot when i touch it.
Need solutions,
Thank you.

ok.. so i ran furmark for about 15 mins or so it didnt shut down
but the temperature was 87 degree C.
idle temperature is around 40 C.

GPU load was 100% and clock fan was at 100%

is this normal?

Yes thats completely normal. Does the shutdown only occur with watch dogs? Also, what drivers are you using, 14.4 or 14.6?

umm i checked the version it says 13.200.0.0 and when i clicked on update it says its already up to date.

and yeah the shutdown only occurred while playing watch dogs.
I havnt played that game since yesterday because im too scared that it might burn the gpu or something. :(

Well if its only watch dogs, no other games, you are ok. I think I see the problem. 13.2 drivers simply can't run watch dogs.

Do this:
First run this http://www.techspot.com/drivers/driver/file/information/16748/
Then download either 14.6 or 14.4 / (latest) drivers from AMD
Then see if it happens

Dw, you won't kill the gpu if its only happening in game. The BSOD is a method of preventing damage to the system.

ok so i updated my drivers to 14.4 and i started playing watch dogs.
there was an improvement in temperature it fell to 70C earlier it was 86C
but the pc shut down after a while and there was an error at the boot up it said 'cpu over temperature'.

i bought a cpu processor cooler just to be safe but how do i stop this from happening again.

Use coretemp to monitor cpu temperatures and report back. then we will see.

i installed a coolermaster processor cooler
and now the temperature is down around 10-15 degrees.
temperature is now around 60-70 degrees

and i started playing watchdogs and there were no shutdowns, so i think its fixed.

Wait, so you didn't have any cooler on your cpu before??

@ Jitesh Thakur - you should select the answer that helped you the most as Solution.
Also, this problem sounds like what happened to me while I was working on overclocking my CPU. Prime 95 and Aida 64 ran without any problems, but the PC would crash in BF3.

By curiosity, did you perform any OC on your CPU, or it`s on default settings?
