USB lags and randomly shuts down to reset seconds later

My computer set-up:

CPU : i5-4670K
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-z87-d3HP
GPU : Radeon R9 280x 3GB
PSU : XFX 850
OS : WIndows 8

This is an ongoing problem, recently my computer had problems. It would randomly freeze needing a hard reset, and the USB ports would randomly shut down and restart.

I've gone through a thread, updated my USB drivers, and changed my PSU. However, the problem is still there.

When playing games or doing moderate load operations on my computers, my USB ports will lag (basically my mouse will stop moving, or my keys input will input the same key for a few seconds), and sometimes even shutdown, disabling my headphones, my keyboard and mouse for 3-10 seconds before coming back on.

There's no alert marks in Device manager, and all of my USB ports are set to not turn off when the computer needs power elsewhere.

I'm really hoping I don't have to replace my motherboard on this issue, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

NOTE: Just tested something: This happened when I had 3 USB (Headset + Mouse + Keyboard) Connected in USB 3.0 ports. I've now put my mouse and Keyboard on USB 2.0 ports, and the lag seemingly stopped, However there are still shutdowns.

Anybody?

Solution
I found the problem : I had set my BIOS to run my CPU at 120% (Basically overclock) and it was causing my system to shut down my USB ports because of the power draw. Since I can't select my answer has best answer, I'd ask to lock the thread.

I've downloaded and installed these and restarted my computer. Still have the same problem sadly.

These problems seems to happen extremely frequently when I download large files over the internet (Games), but sometimes happens in game too.

New Test : I've put a USB hub (Basically 4 2.0 port) on my USB 2.0 port on my computer. I've connected my headphones, keyboard and mouse on it, and the lag was horrendous, with numerous USB shutdown. I've then decide to remove my mouse from the connected port from my keyboard (I have a Razer blackwidow with the USB port on the side, that's where I was connecting my mouse).

Now my mouse, Keyboard and Headset all have their own USB port. The lag seems much less noticeable, but there are still shutdown while I download games.

Any help?
