Just installed windows xp on a laptop, and everytime I open internet explorer, i get a pop up saying IE needs to shut down. It is IE 6. I thought maybe it was using too much memory because the laptop only had 256mb ram, so I put it in another laptop that had 2GB ram, but same issue. Any ideas what I can do?

the issue is flash and java not installed and that old version of ie does not know how to handle the new scripts on the web now. your easy fix is download t a usb stick newer version of ie and install it or download google or firefox browser to the usb stick then update the laptop.

ok. Can xp do the latest version of IE? If not, what is the highest version of IE that xp can handle?
