I am currently deciding between the AMD Quad-Core A8-6410 Processor, or the 4th generation Intel® Core™ i7-4510U Dual Core Processor. Is one of them better? Or is it a matter of preference? I will be using the processor for gaming. Thanks

Those are laptops, and both should be fine. If you are using integrated graphics and not dedicated graphics, definitely use the A8 processor. Otherwise the 4510U seems like a good option. The A8 would be also good for rendering over the 4510U because it is a quad-core processor that has a good GPU.

If you wanna use it for gaming, I wouldnt suggest either of these procesors, the a8 gives more bang for your buck, but if you have enough money go for the i7. A suggestion from my part would be to try looking at some a10s
Essentially, intel dominates the high end, but theyre pricey, if you want a middish range id definetly go with amd.
