Alright so I know this has already been talked about but not for quite a while.... So I have a 2010 macbook pro 15" that I just traded a friend another mac for and apparently his boyfriend spilled tomato soup on it about 6 months ago.... and I was wondering what the best solvent would be to get the soup off of the mobo.... Thanks for the help!

Does the computer work? If the computer is already fried then there is no point in trying to clean it. If it still works you could take out the mobo and clean with deionized water (which will not conduct electricity).

It gets to the white screen with the apple logo on it but that's about as far as it goes.... and I'll try that today, but are there any solvents I could use to get the nasty soup off? there's just a little but it's chunky.... thanks for the advice
