Thinking to buy Sapphire r9 270x or Zotac gtx 660..Monitor resolution in 1440x900..So which psu suits for the above gpus..
If you suggest any better gpu then make sure it should be under 14500 INR..

thanks...

Yes, the r9 270x has a max power consumption of around 250w (20 amps) and your cpu (guessing either an fx or i3/i5) won't pull more than 130w (11 amps) so the 520w S12II (with 40 amps on the 12v rail) would be able to handle it without averaging more than 80% of the rated power. You typically want to run your PSU at 80% or less for efficiency.

Note that the 250w consumption is for torture testing, with gaming you would see something more like 200w usage from the GPU.

Edit: woops lookd at some wrong numbers, the 270x would consume around...

This one should serve your system well :)

It's not the cheapest, but you never want to skimp on the PSU. This one's budget friendly enough, but reliable enough, to earn my recommendation. Not to mention the 5 year warranty.

But if you've got the funds,

That would be even better. Though, niether of these options are emant to be future proof, in the event that you wish to later on add a second GPU. Would you like us to find a future proof PSU?
