hey i have a sylvania smartbook model #: SYNET07WICV
Other related number: gw1089 / SYNET07WICV-0057694.
ok and after start up a few seconds like maybe a min and a half the keyboard and mouse stops responding. and for as long as i been repairing computers i've never seen that one before so im thinking that i have to re-install the OS or maybe re-flash the bios but im not sure cuz there is little information on the device so i need a little help with this one.

Have you tried connecting an external keyboard/mouse to see if the behavior changes?

Also, what are the CPU and GPU operating temperatures (idle and under load)? Does the system eventually shutdown or does it linger indefinitely?

yes i have tried useing a USB 2.0 keyboard and mouse and still the same result with no response and i cant tell u the temps cuz i cant use the mouse long enough to find that out but i have tried the rest button in the bottom of the pc but all that does is just resart the pc so im thinking i might have to re-install the OS image maybe that will help. what do you think?

yea everything works fine just the mouse and keyboard stop responding and it will stay on forever lol untill u do a hard shutdown lol

Try Safe Mode. It it works there, you have a software issue. If it dies in Safe Mode, you have a likely hardware (likely heat/power related) problem.

I would examine the motherboard for any visible damage (burnt components). If good, I would replace the thermal compound on the CPU and GPU.

Seems that Windows CE does not have a safe mode. You may simply have a defective device. Do you have the necessary media to reload the OS? If so, worth a shot reloading the OS.

I wouldn't get my hopes up of this device.

Googling these terms "reinstall windows ce site:microsoft.com" will provide several sources as well. You will need to get the CE files from MS to proceed.
