gtx 660 or R9 270X?

These power supplies are better quality than the one you chose:

The GTX 660 and R9 270X are in the same tier.

Nvidia cards typically run cooler, quieter, and draw less power. All things to consider. I've not owned an AMD based card for a while, but when I did, I always fought with it. Drivers etc... It was a headache. Since going to Nvidia, I couldn't be happier. But your mileage may vary. Myself I'd go GTX 660 all day over a R9 270X.

I've used both, and generally have a far more positive experience with Nvidia.

They may be in the same tier but that hierarchy chart is too generalised.
When you actually compare a GTX 660 and a R9 270X, the R9 270X will be faster. The R9 270x and the GTX 660 Ti is similarly in terms of performance.
Drivers issues can happen on both sides. Since everyone has different pc configurations, you may or may not experience drivers issues.

Dont worry about the budget regarding this as its only 1k difference... I want the best among the two considering all the factors as i dont want to face any problem after i purchase it

tbh i cannot have a say in this. I personally prefer Nvidia. The games that i play are coincidentally Nvidia optimized like Arkham City,Borderlands 2,etc. I don't play Battlefield because my ISP sucks and it is coincidentally AMD optimized.
