I'm looking for a mechanical keyboard to complete my gaming new rig

Thinking about red switches, or maybe brown as I've heard red is bad for typing and it will be used for school too

Looking for something cheap around $120 Edit: US Dollars

please recommend a few models as not many models are available here

Not all keys on the K60 or K90 are mechanical, all keys on the K65, K70 and K95 are.

About K70
"The original Vengeance boards only used the mechanical key switches on the main layout, for one, leaving the function and navigation keys on the ol’ deadened membrane switches. This created a inconsistent feel that's vanished for the K70. You'll find Cherry MX Red switches under every key on the board here."

About K65.
"Every key (apart from the volume buttons and Windows lock at the very top) has a Cherry MX Red mechanical switch beneath it"

For Tenkeyless design: Cooler Master Storm QuickFire Rapid or Cooler Master Storm QuickFire Stealth.

Standard: Logitech G710+ or Das Keyboard Model S Professional.

The ones I listed are a mix of MX Black and MX Brown. MX Black are similar to Brown but the feedback is not as pronounced. So great for gaming and typing. For some of the keyboards, you may want to purchase some O-rings to prevent a loud bang when bottoming-out the keys. The Logitech G710+ comes with small black O-rings. The CM Storms do not. And I am not sure if the Das Keyboard comes with O-rings or not.

This might help you decide between switches

Personally I like Reds but if your doing a lot of typing I would recommend Browns. The slight extra force required to push past the actuation point will reduce mistakes as you are probably used to having a bit of resistance in your keys. You'll also learn where the actuation point is, so you will find you'll start bottoming out less and typing faster. This will happen with Reds too, but you'll probably make more mistakes initially, as you'd be used to having a bit more pressure in your key presses, and it will take longer to learn the actuation point. As for gaming, a lot of people tend to say Reds are better for FPS due to the lack of hesitation in the keys giving slightly better response times, but really it doesn't matter too much and both are very good gaming switches.

Black seems too heavy and mechanical keyboards are noisy enough without the extra clicking from Blues, but this is just my opinion, you'll have to make up your own mind.

Pretty much any keyboard from Cooler Master, DAS, Ducky, Corsair (K70 [strike]or above models[/strike]) and as ksham mentioned, the Logitech G710+.
I wouldn't go with Razer as they have just started making their own switches, which may or may not be as good as Cherry switches but it's too early to tell.

For non-backlit keyboards all the boards that ksham suggested are good, as well as the Ducky Zero, Ducky Pro and CM Storm Quick Fire Pro (all are standard size, both the Pro keyboards have partial backlighting)

As for backlit keyboards (all are standard unless noted)
CM Storm Quick Fire Ultimate
CM Storm Quick Fire TK (arrow keys are intergrated into the num pad)
CM Storm Quick Fire Rapid-i (tenkeyless)
Corsair K70
Ducky Zero Shine
Gigabyte Osmium

These are the o-rings ksham is talking about:

They reduce the clacking of the keys bottoming out considerably, as well as reducing the key travel distance resulting in faster typing.

Edit: not all corsair boards above K70 are full mechanical

I had to double check too. I knew the K70 and K95, but i wasn't sure about the K65. Corsair are a bit sneaky with the K60 and K90, as they don't really specify anywhere that you don't get all mechanical keys.
