Hi,

I can get a year i5 3350p from a cousin for 90 euros.
It's either that or a fx 6300 because I'm on a budget.
I currently have a HD 7950 2gb and a shitty athlon cpu.

Would the i5 be enough to run next gen games like batman arkham knight, ac unity and the GTA 5 remake and almost every other game that's not a 'next gen' game which is still on old gen hardware? I plan to run these games at 1080p at atleast high settings, not so much AA either.

or would I have to save up (which would take months as I have to spend money for driver lessons) and get a 4th gen i5?

Thanks!

But will I be able to run those games at those settings with the i5?
I've got 8gb of ram at a high enough clockspeed and my motherboard is plenty good.

Ah never saw a thread with my cpu yes its pretty good even that its almost 2 year old with my 770 tf oc edition my i5 perform pretty well the gpu is at 99 usage in games wich means that the cpu isn't bottlenecking it but get 4th gen cause it won't serve you more than a year from now. Also mine hits high temps after getting this nvidia beast now in games like the witcher my i5 is at 78c

I'll get the i5 now, after I pass my drivers license test I'll sell the i5 again and buy a 4th gen.

That's a good option tho even though the i5 3350p will serve you well for this time!
