It's overkill for a gaming PC as of today. You could get something cheaper and still get the same experience in gaming.

Here is the I5 equivalent. If the rig is for gaming only go with this. If you go with a smaller SSD, you can get the 780ti.

its overall pretty good I would recommend getting the i5 4690k though cause its performance is only slightly better but they are currently around the same price on pcpartpicker, SSD is great but its storage is small, I would check out SSHD or hybrid drive they are a bit slower than SSD but still extremely faster than the HDD and they cost only about 20 dollars more than a HDD and their storage is the generally the same size as HDD!
