Random Freezing, BSoD on new system

Around two weeks ago I build a new gaming system with a friend of mine. While the building itself went well, a problem persisted. Here are my system specs:

Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1

Motherboard: Asus H97M-e

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.6GHz

GPU: Sapphire Tri-X R9 290

Memory:

Power supply: Corsair CX750M

Memory: Crucial Ballistix 8GB kit

SSD: Corsair M500

Windows will, at random times, freeze, show a BSoD or have some weird bugs and then freeze or show a BSoD. Here follows a more detailed explanation of the problems:

-1: At random times the PC will show a BSoD. to keep this post short I will include several mini dumps in the attachments.

-2: random freezing. At random times the entire pc will freeze up and not respond to anything. It will only stop when I press the reboot button, and then it will just quickly shut down, not restart. When I start it up again windows tell's me it wasn't shut down properly. although mostly at random, it usually happens after 30 to 90 minutes.

-3: random bugs followed by either 1 or 2. Sometimes the bugs are a little more exotic, and the system will first show some other problems. In the first few second the game or programe I use will show weird behavior, like shutting down, partial lockups or random bugs. After 4 or 5 seconds windows security essentials will show that the protection is down, and is doesn't respond to anything. At this point almost all programs have become non-reactive and will show errors and shut down. after this the system will proceed to either problem 1 or 2.

At first the BSoD was far more common, but as time progressed the freezing happened by far the most. I also noticed that the freezing followed itself: when it happens once, it tends to happen again after restarting.

I already checked and updated my drivers, performed memcheck86+, used the windows diagnostic tool, used the intel proccesor diagnostic tool, scanned for malware and updated windows. While I did this, I do not want to eliminate the possibility of me making a mistake however.

If anyone can help me with this I would be very grateful! while it is a nice machine, its rather disappointing to have it functioning like this. Also my apologies for my English, but it is not my first language.

Included are several minidumps, my dxdiag, the report from Rkill, and the testresult from the intel processor diagnostics tool.

The temperatures never rise above 50°C/122°F on any of the parts. I did not defragmentate the SSD, since it was fresh from the box. I did not do scandisk however, I will try that ASAP. But just to be certain, you mean the windows function?

*EDIT* I jus ran the windows scandisk utility, and as far as I can tell it found no problems.

I updated all the drivers. While driver genius still tell's me a few drivers are out of date, I updated all my drivers straight from the manufacturers website, so it should be up to date.

No, since the system is only 2 weeks old, so it's as fresh as it can be. if this is what you recommend however, I'll try it tommorrow. I take it leaving data on my external hdd will not be a problem?

Oke, in that case I'll try that tomorrow.

Quick update: while I've yet to install all drivers, the freezing is back. I'll try to install the drivers and see if that fixes it.

I did a fresh windows install, and reinstalled all the drivers but it still happened. The random, instant freezing returned, but with one interesting aspect: while it happened I was playing the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and was in the cheating console at the time. While the whole screen was frozen instantly, the little bar (I don't know what you call it) that indicates were you are typing kept flashing, as the only element on screen. I don't know what it means, but I thought it noteworthy.

The freezing happens basically at random. it happens when using just Skype, chrome, and most games. While some games have yet to crash on me, I think that is pure luck, since the freezing seems to be random.

This might be a bit of a problem, since I don't really have a second power supply or GPU available. I might use the GPU on the motherboard instead of the other one, but for the power supply I don't really have an alternative.

In any case, I will try disabling the GPU and use the one on the motherboard for a while and see if it still happens.

I tried it with the GPU switched of and the driver uninstalled, and the freezing happened again. I think we can eliminate the GPU as a potential problem.

-if you can put up a acutal memory .dmp file I will take a quick look.
- a random "freeze" generally that recovers will generally be in a subsystem that has its own processor.
graphics, or in your case I would expect it to be in the electronics of your solid state drive.

if it is in your SSD you should see a error indication from the disk subsystem in event viewer.
basically, the SSD can get backed up because of bugs in firmware and take too long to respond,
then after 30 seconds windows will try to reset the sata port to get it to recover, I think it will do this several times before it would bugcheck.

fixes:
-update chipset drivers for sata ports
- update firmware for SSD
- boot into BIOS and leave SSD powered to do its internal repairs
- reduce disk IO to the SSD
- check SATA cables, or move to primary SATA controller
- enable hotswap in BIOS for the SATA port
