I bought a Saphire Tri-x R9 290 and a blackhawk rosewill midtower from newegg, they're still on their way, but I got a message from pcpartpicker telling me that I would have to remove the drive bays for the card to fit. I got the blackhawk case for $60, I was looking for a case under 80 that would have enough space for the saphire 290, so I just went with it.

What does it mean to remove the drive bays? Is that the HDD drive bays? It has to be removed, all of it for my card to fit? If so, Where will I put my hdd? Cancel order and get another case?

Thanks!

I have the Blackhawk case. The hard drive cage can be removed, either completely or partially. There are different configurations for the hard drive cage, which can be seen in the manual I believe. Right now, my hard drive cage only has the top two slots; I removed the bottom portions. I'm going to switch it up soon and only have the bottom portion of the hard drive bays instead.

EDIT: I removed the bays for air cooling purposes, but you'll be able to fit your large GPU in the case no problem.

Yes you will need to remove HDD drive bays. Don't worry you will not be removing all of them, you will room for at least 2-4 HDDs.

If you're worried and want my suggestion, get the NZXT 410 mid tower.
