I have been attempting to build a computer for about 2 months and having major issues.

I bought these items:

ATX Computer Case:
Gigabyte LGA1150 H87M-D3H (Motherboard)
Intel i7 LGA1150 Processor
Vulcan 8gb(2x4gb) DDR3 1600 Ram
Corsair 750w PSU

From old pc:

500gb hardrive(7 years old)
DVD/CD Driver(7 years old)
GTX 650 Graphics Card(6 months old)

I installed the components into the new case following all the guidelines in the manuals. I could not get to boot and it would turn on and off. I went through the steps again to see what I missed. Replugging in everything and making sure it all worked. After much tinkering it booted and not quite sure why it booted. However, the motherboard would not use my graphics card. I just used the built in Intel graphics and played with the bios trying to get a response. I looked at all the tutorials and nothing was successful. I then caved and bought the GTX 750 from Best Buy and installed that. The machine still refused to recognize the card. I tried to install drivers and it would tell me no hardware detected. I asked a couple people who said it sounded like the PCI-E x16 slot was faulty.

So I order a new motherboard and install it last night. Again it does the turn on and off thing. I removed the graphics card, unplugged the DVD.CD Drive and tried again. Still nothing is happening?

Can someone please advise, I have done everything to make this computer work and have invested quite a bit to get a working gaming rig.

Thanks for the help :)

The PSU worked with the first motherboard I bought, It is brand new. I had windows fully up and functional on the first motherboard. The motherboards only fault was the PCIe x16 slot was faulty.

I have gotten the computer to run continuously however I get no image from either the Intel gpu built into the motherboard or the GTX 650. I have tried both the VGA and HDMI ports

The Motherboard has been determined to be faulty. I went back the the motherboard with the non functioning PCI-e ports. If anyone has any suggestions on mobo that are able to hold a LGA 1150 and are good for gaming I am all ears. :)
