Hey guys, I was just copying something from one of my systems to another when suddenly my usb drive started getting disconnected as soon as I accessed anything in it. I've tried most of the methods on the internet but the problem is that as soon as any of the suggested softwares for the removal of the virus were run, the USB drive disconnects suddenly, so as soon as it is plugged in, the auto scan disconnects it. Same happens when I try to delete the "Autorun.inf.mal" folder in it which I think is the root of the problem. None of my other drives have so far been infected. I have a VAIO laptop and a HP USB flash drive. Please can anybody help?
Update : Guys, formatting or scanning with antivirus (NPAV) doesn't help because they can't detect the flash drive. Only for the beginning after plugged in, I can open it but then all folders are inaccessible and no scanning tool detects the flash drive so they can't scan it.
Thank you for your suggestions, but I still can't find a way through this.

On a pc you haven't connected this flash drive to: Turn off Autorun in the OS, insert the drive and run your antivirus sweeps on it.

Sorry to let you know but if you've connected this drive to your pc then you're more than likely infected. Flash drives have no processing ability, they are just memory/storage, so somethings running on the host pc to intercept these requests and disconnects the usb drive.

I realized that my pc would be infected so I ran a full scan from the required softwares, so I expect it to be clean, but still I can't do anything to my pen drive except just opening it to see the folders, then it becomes disconnected and no scan or format helps. I would like to know that how can I turn Autorun.inf off from the OS.
