Last response: in Windows 7

i'm remodelling my pc case, and won't have space for two hard drives drives any more, so i'm creating a partition for the OS on the larger drive.
i have easus partition master installed, so i could copy the whole partition to the other drive, but will that confuse the OS? would i be better off reinstalling windows on the new partition instead?
thanks in advance :D

You can do that, but you will have to update your boot loader so it knows about it.

Fresh install is easiest and fastest.

not when you're installing from an external drive over USB 2. (no optics)

Copy the partition
Edit the boot info
"Oh crap, that didn't work and now it doesn't boot"
Try again...
