Okay so I recently built my first computer back in January and I've been making some upgrades to it like I ordered a new case with better airflow and upgrading the RAM. Just small subtle things. One day I decided to open up my case and try and get whatever dust was in there if there was any. Wiring it back up wasn't very challenging because I figured that even if I plugged in the I/O Led wires it wouldn't be bad. But when I was wiring up my Case fans, I have a splitter that connects into the Molex on my PSU and then I can plug the 3 pins. SO I think my mistake was that I plugged one case fan into the 3 pin and since it had a molex end on the case fan as well I plugged that into the PSU....
So I think I put too much power to my case fan, all the other ones were fine but can someone confirm this for me? Also is there any tips to help me prevent mistakes like these? I'm still new to this and I'm learning as much as I can thanks!
