I have a VGA option but need to use the HDMI out on an asus HD6450(1GB) silent but I cant get it working. I dont know if its the card, driver, or possibly it requires a special hdmi cable version. I'm using the latest driver for my OS (Windows Vista) The catalyst control center does detect an HDMI display but the screen remains black. I tried restarting the computer and I tried different ports on my TV - nothing. I also know its a good cable because I used it with game consoles.

One note: When I start the PC with an HDMI connention, the BIOS load screen has an erratic pink color and as soon as windows starts to load the screen turns black.

Is there an additional driver needed for HDMI? or maybe a hidden setting that I dont see?

Thanks.

I downloaded the driver from the ASUS website. I uninstalled the previous display driver but I didnt "clean" any drivers off the computer from the previous ATI card installed. Ill focus on doing that now.
