I'm looking for a new graphics card because my 9500 gt is overheating to 90c or even 100c its idle at 80 and i've heard that isn't the best. I've also noticed a lot of fps drop when I play games.
Ok so I have an inspiron 530. With an intel 2 quad Q6600 with 4gb of ram and pci x16. I dont know much about computers, but I have ddr2 RAM and pci x16. Would I be able to run a AMD Raedon 6670 or anything better then the 9500 gt. Im looking in about 40$ to the max of 70$. I have either 300w or 350w.

Probably the old card needs its thermal paste cleaned and replaced.
Yes, that HD 6670 and others will work fine. Just don't get one that requires a 6 pin power connection. The PSU is a bit light for that.
My daughter has that Dell. The PSU is a "350W" with a 12a and 18a +12V rail, I believe. You should be OK with the motherboard BIOS recognizing it if the old card works OK.

i have a 6870 that was running with a Q6600 / 6gb until recently - i upgraded to an i5. Can't say I have noticed a huge FPS increase with the i5, the Q6600 seemed to drive the 6870 fine. Can't comment on power, mine is 500w, but you can find that out online
