So I upgraded to windows 8.1 last week and downloaded most of my games again. A couple of hours ago I tried playing battlefield 3 but for some strange reason my gpu didnt ramp up to proper clockspeeds, stayed at 35-40C temp and the game ran like 2-5 fps. I have no idea what might be causing this weird behaviour of my gpu. Other games like battlefield 4 and CS:GO run completely normal. I'm using:
-HIS radeon hd7870
-FX-6300 oc'd to 4.1GHz
-10 gigs of ram
-corsair cx750m psu
-asrock 970 extreme3 r2.0 mobo
I'd be glad if someone can find a solution for this as I couldnt find anything similar on google. Thanks in advance!

It was origin's in-game overlay. Had to disable it. Tom's hardware now seems even almightier than google
