As far as I know, Intel Core i3-4150 3.5GHz has a MUCH better single-core performance, but it has less cores (2 cores, 4 threads) but hyperthreading helps alot in performance and it makes it like a quad core CPU. I'm going to play Battlefield and Counter-Strike games with 64 players at 1080p, so does a better single thread performance help alot more in servers with lots of action and players than AMD's FX 6300? Please respond, thanks.

They're almost exactly equal in benchmarks. Go with whichever you think would give you the socket you want for upgrading later on. Also the 6300 can be overclocked, but the i3 uses less power if either of those things interest you.
