Internet Connection but Internet isnt working. Please help.

So not to long ago (Maybe a few days) i have had this strange problem, that no one could really find the answer to. So it says that im connected to the network getting a strong connection, yet everthing that uses internet has failed. Things including Skype, Steam, and just internet browing doesnt work. I have tried drivers, booting into safe mode, changing my DNS and other ip's and reseting my router, unplugging it, letting is "cycle", yet nothing is working. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this? Please help!:??:

If the network icon on the task-bar says "you are connected to the network", it doesn't mean at the same time that you're connected to the internet as well. How does your router give IPs to the devices connected to it? Statically or dynamically using a DHCP server? Have you tried to connect to the router using another device? Normally routers have a status page, where you can see if it is connected to the internet, the IP it gets from the gateway etc; have you already checked that?

At this point i have checked everything and right now i am in the process of a backing up my hardrive to an external drive and going to reset my computer. If that doesnt work then i dont even know what to do next. But thanks for the help anyway.
