I've just bought a GTX 780 ACX, and the GPU usage is always under 99%... like 50~80% And in games like gta iv it stays at 30~40% gpu usage. Can it be caused by a bottleneck of my i7 2600k? it is at stock speed (3.4gHz) and i cant overclock it due of my motherboard chipset.

My Specs:

- EVGA GTX 780 ACX (stock speed)
- i7 2600k 3.4 gHz
- ASRock B75Pro3m Motherboard
- 10 Gb RAM 1333 mHz (Kingstom)
- PSU TX750M Corsair
- HD 1 TB

*Sorry for bad english =\

No.

Tier 1 includes: Core i7-2600, -2600K, -2700K, -3770, -3770K, -3820, -3930K, -3960X, -3970X, -4770, -4770K, -4790K
Core i7-965, -975 Extreme, -980X Extreme, -990X Extreme / Core i5-4690K, 4670K, 4670, 4570, 4430, 3570K, -3570, -3550, -3470, -3450P, -3450, -3350P, -3330, 2550K, -2500K, -2500, -2450P, -2400, -2380P, -2320, -2310, -2300

A 920 is in tier 2 and a jump of 3 tiers is recommended for a "noticeable" performance increase".

the 780 is a very powerful gpu, games like gta iv are not at all taxing on it (go look at what the xbox 360 was operating at). Are you monitoring GPU usage over time, or are you ALT+TAB to see it? because your usage will drop almost instantly. Is your card performing properly? Have you checked some benchmarks, etc. If its performing fine, I don't see much to worry about.

In any case it is 100% not the cpu. RAM would be a more apparent bottleneck, and the HDD, but I doubt they are really doing anything for in game performance

How have you got 10gb ram? Try just having identical sticks. If not, it can create problems.

i am monitoring gpu usage with EVGA Precision X, but i've noticed that my CPU are not at full usage (what could not represent a bottleneck) so I dont know what it could be, I never heard about a RAM bottleneck, by the way, I use 4 sticks in dual channel - 4Gb/2Gb/2Gb/2Gb - *all at 1333 mHz

Only identical ram is guaranteed to work, Change your ram and see if it improves your pc's performance. You should try 2 x 4gb

RAM can't work in dual channel mode if they are unequal sizes.... also 4 modules instead of 2 makes the CPU work harder.
