how can we run 3 screens separately on a desktop with a windows 7 operating system. what video card do we need to put in.

What are the three monitors being used for? Gaming or application development or day trading or ...?

What type(s) of video input ports are available on each monitor?

What is the native display resolution of each of the three monitors?

What is the brand and model of the system's motherboard?

we want to run a 50" Hisense TV for a scoreboard which has VGA, HDMI and a USB plug on it, and then put 2 normal computer monitors on my desk for standard tasks... just dragging exel, word, outlook, browser windows etc. around on.

how do i find out model and year of the motherboard... i have done it before but sorta forget.

Download and run the freeware utility CPU-Z. http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html

On the Mainboard tab page it will display the Manufacturer, Model, Chipset, ..., etc. Post all of that info here in this thread.

The 50" Hisense TV is most likely a 1920x1080 resolution display.

that program won't download on this thing but I managed to find this.
windows 7 professional
copyright 2009 microsoft corporation
service pack 1
manufacturer: Voyageur PC
Model: Voyageur 2000
processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2310 CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz
Installed memory (RAM): 8:00 GB
System: 64-bit operating system

What I'm looking for is information about the specific motherboard.

You should be able to download CPU-Z directly to your local hard disk drive and run it: http://www.cpuid.com/downloads/cpu-z/1.69-setup-en.exe

nope

this is my work computer and it has the streamline 3 lockdown program on it. blocks half of the stuff like that download.

there has to be a way without it. procomm figured out that we needed an 8400 to set up the 2 screens just by telling me what to do over the phone but now that we asked them for a card to run 3 screens they said it will cost $600 for the card and they are not sure if they have what we need and kinda gave us the run around. we decided to do some investigating on our own even though we don't know anything about this type of work! we would guess we could get the graphics card for $100-$200. are we thinking right?

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2 GB graphics card supports 3 monitors itself for anywhere between $134 US to $180 US.

Check the cards in this list and determine what card you need based on the video connector type(s) you need:

The AMD Radeon R7 265 graphics card is also an option:
