Problem Installing Operating System

So I've been working on a Dell Desktop I found.

Installed a 1.5TB HD, but when I try and run the install CD I get the MBR Error 1 when trying to boot off the CD Drive.

I have tried to factory reset the BIOS, but no luck.

Any ideas?

That's the problem, I got partition commander in the drive now so I can. Windows installation disc won't load, Partition Commander won't load, and the Boot Menu formatting won't load. I'm at a loss.

I was able to fix the MBR issue with my Windows Vista upgrade disk and the command prompt.

I partitioned through the command prompt and all that old school jazzy stuff. Now I got a BOOTMGR issue. But I plan on making the partition bootable for Ubuntu since my Windows 7 disk crapped out.
