What are you trying to say? Is there a dongle for the key board plugged into your PC? You need to have your keyboard close to the dongle or it may not work. Check the switch and make sure it's on and the batteries are good. Are you saying you have no more USB Ports to plug in the keyboard. If so I know that Logitech dongles can power up to four or five devices. You just use the software to set them up.

1. I owned that keyboard. It connects via a 2.4Ghz Logitech Unifying receiver. This is a teeny USB dongle that the keyboard talks to. Teeny as in it sticks out 1/4". You wouldn't see it if you weren't looking for it
2. Batteries, distance, wireless in general...all come into play for a wireless keyboard.
