I'm debating on upgrading my dimension 9150 for gaming or building a new rig entirely but on a max of 600$ budget trying to stay around 500$ I know if I upgraded the dimension it would bottleneck becuase of the pentium D but I just wanted others opinion

I would upgrade. These days, any computer with a Pentium anything in it is ready to go.

But you say your budget would be $600 max with hopes of around $500?

First question is this, what games are you hoping to play?

In this link here: http:// is a part list of my current build. At first it cost around $799. I would consider my gaming PC a mid range build. Even so, don't let this discourage you. It's possible to get something on a budget as tight as yours.

So you think a pentium D dual core 2.8ghz would be good for gaming I'm only trying to play games like minecraft world of tank and other games with good frame rate and if you still think so what parts would you upgrade in the dimension with it being from it orginal specs

I'm sorry, by "ready to go" I meant, it's ready to go in the trashcan. That's what I meant by getting an upgrade. A Dell Dimension series is typically an average home computer and the most you can upgrade with them is their hard drive capacity and RAM.

Maybe a RAM upgrade would boost gaming performance in your case, but I don't think you can add a graphics card to that computer and have it actually be worth the trouble.
