I have some very corrupted files on my 8.1 system (Ex: BITS not starting, eventlog not starting, windows update not functioning as a result, my admin account doesn't have access to things in command prompt to fix problems and my ethernet has limited access)

Anyway, I don't have time to fix all of these problems....especially when no one online seems to know a fix for windows 8.1 error 2147943468.

ANY HOW I have one simple question.

I originally installed windows 8 on my SSD. I upgraded via download from Microsoft to 8.1. If I boot from my DVD drive and have my windows 8 disk in...can I reinstall windows 8 on my same SSD? Will it get mad and not let me use that copy? It's the same computer so I would hope not.

Yes. It tells me some files are missing (corrupted is suppose) and 8.1 would not accept my windows 8 CD as a form of recovery media. It was this way for both refresh and reset.

Too late anyhow haha I'm setting up windows 8. Praying to God it fixes my problems.

It fixed my poblems, however IDK if I installed it on a separate partition....whoops. well I'll just make one for programs then? to keep them away from the windows?

a partition shows up as another drive in 'my computer' but normally people put their sensative info that they dont want to risk loosing during re installation on the other partition.
