Hi everyone,

So I recently upgraded from the stock cooler on the i5 3570k to a corsair h80i. Installed okay, and first time I booted up, fans were on full power, but then scaled down once I had logged in. However, they weren't detected in corsair link. After no luck with various internal USB headers, I used a connection to the back USB port to load. Now the h80i was detected, but constantly reconnected and connected. I tried updating the firmware on the pump, but it wouldn't stay connected for long enough.

After messing around with it for a long time and various restarts to try and get it to connect, it started running only at 100% fans, despite me only changed it to the "Quiet" profile. Now the pump doesn't seem to be working at all; upon boot the LED flashes once (a random colour) and the fans spin up, but then the whole unit immediately stops working. It's not detected by the computer (in devices) or corsair link.

So I'm wondering, is this a RTM or is there anything else I can try? I purchased via amazon so it should be simple enough to return, but am loath to take my system apart again if I don't have to. Thanks in advance.
