Performance Heatsink required for Optiplex 780 with quad core CPU

I'm considering a CPU upgrade of an Optiplex 780 DT with an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 CPU. The current CPU is an Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 which obviously has a lower TDP and so my question is whether such an upgrade requires a better heatsink to keep the Q9550 cool enough.

The pc with the current E8400 running VM software is in a cabinet.....The cabinet is well vented but the cpu is always over 60 degrees Celsius since most of time works over 80% and i wonder if i can upgrade the heatsink to something more efficient. The pc is very clean inside so i guess the high temps are because of the hot environment, about 31 degrees....

Dell installs copper heatsinks on 95 watt quads for Optiplex models and aluminum for 65 watt cpus.
Someone suggest the RW134 heatsink for my model but i'm asking here just to make sure that it will fit to my optiplex.

I just find the Q9550S ! A core 2 quad 12M Cache, 2.83 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB and is only 65 watt.
Will this be a good upgrade or my E8400 3 GHz is good enough for the VM that i'm running and only go for the heatsink replacement ?

If it already has the copper plate, then you are fine. According to you, you are going from 95 Watt to 65 Watt. That would decrease your temps and power draw, so it will work.

No i don't have the copper plate.
I have the E8400 core 2 duo 65 watt with the solid aluminum heatsink.
As i said above, Dell installs copper heatsinks on 95 watt quads for Optiplex models and solid aluminum for 65 watt cpus.
Someone suggest the RW134 heatsink for my model but i'm asking here just to make sure that it will fit to my 780 DT version optiplex.
If i manage to find the part number for the copper heatpipe heatsink that dell gives for 95 watt quads cpus then i maybe update my cpu.

Ah. You are upgrading to 95W? Here is something that may be relevant to you: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/368151-28-optiplex-upgrade

Yes it does ! I have found many low profile aftermarket aircoolers but don't forget that i'm talking about Dell. This brand likes to use propriatary stuff, even on things that should be standard............

This is my motherboard and the holes, marked with red, for cpu cooler are not standard........
That's why i only talk about dell heatsinks....

Thanks a lot for the link. I found what i was looking for :https://www.redplanettrading.com/Dell-RW134-PU469-R6852-C6119-Heatsink-and-Shroud-Optiplex-Desktop.html

Now i have another question.........
I'm thinking to do a litle case mod and make two holes around 80mm. The one will have a 80mm fan blowing air inside the pc right behind the heatsink and the other for vent up and behind dvd rom. And i'm gonna power the fan from the molex of the floppy.

Something like that but with two holes, one right and one left....not only one in the center.....

Do you think that this is a good idea or it will affect air flow and give the opposite results ?

One more question about the Q9550S ! A core 2 quad 12M Cache, 2.83 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB and is only 65 watt.
Will this be a good upgrade or my E8400 3 GHz is good enough for the VM software that i'm running and only go for the heatsink replacement ?

After the update to the latest bios my 780 DT now runs with 16 GB ram !

Will i see a big difference or waist of money the cpu upgrade ?
